My present CRT has died, I made an attempt to try using a regular TV and like most consumer TV's has a built in automatic color adjustment so I can't get a correct read when using my color corrector (in addition to lacking enough lines of resolution to show any DR-1000 enhancements). I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with using a color corrector / image enhancer on any consumer LCD TV's.

Obviously a broadcast certified LCD monitor would be ideal. Trouble is they are expensive.

So if you use a mass market TV, you need to calibrate it yourself ideally with test signals and known good sources. You need to turn off all auto correction.
You can get in the ballpark but I wouldn't call it pro color correction.Last edited by edDV; 6th May 2010 at 22:42.
