This is not a capture question per-say. I have a tape (night-time concert footage) recorded rather nicely (native SVHS using a broadcast deck long ago) however the camera supplying the footage was deeply susceptible to CCD ghosting. Being a night-time event, there is quite a bit of streaking wherever a bright light moves around within the frame. The problem is bad enough that even midtones create ghosts.
Is there any known way to fix this programmatically? I'm aware of techniques for cleaning up the video frame-by-frame but wanted to ask if anyone's taken this on with currently available tools.
