ive just reencoded brotherhood of the wolf with english subs
its a dvd rip so quality was spot on
when i checked it after frameserving it it seemed very blocky anyone have any ideas why?
i used virtualdub and tmpgenc

try to save the avi file IN virtualdub (video-full processing) and at least the same bit rate in codec settings of the original file and then encode with tmpeg to mpg.
