Not Saving the File anywhere

I'm trying to create a high Quality for for youtube.

I'm exporting a DV stream from FCP.

I put the file into the source format window and it says unrecognized.

I then change the output file to MP4.

When I encode it does not save the file anywhere - even to the targed "save as" destination

Any Ideas? I got this technique from a Youtube video on how to get the HQ option to appear using this tool.

Then how or why did you go any further?

This is my first time using this program - Didn't know any better. If you look the link to the tutorial I used i followed it exactly.

Can't you export to mp4 directly in fcp?

It seems as thoug no matter what I put in there . . . DV stream, .MOV or whatever - it does not work - it comes back unrecognized.

Whats up with that?

If you export as DV with just one audio stream at 48 kHz, maybe that would be recognized easier?
