  1. is there a way to rip my vcds to a mpg file?

  2. If you get your disk and open it up there should be a file called mpeg something like that. when you open it up there should be a dat file inside it. If you get vcdeasy it should be able to convert that dat file to a mpeg1. Its worked once for me and once not. I dont know if it work for sure, but it might.

  3. Get vcd gear version 2.0...
    Open up vcdgear and in the drop down, you will need to select dat->mpeg, go down to load (make sure your disc is in your computer), open up the mpegav folder. In it there will be a dat file(AVSEQ01). Now, it will automatically ask where you want to save it... Be sure to change the save as type... if not, when you select start, it will tell you that there may not be enough room. The reason for this is because, if you look at the type that is automatically selected, it says vcd, which you can not save it to the vcd, you need to save it somewhere on your computer. This should work. VCDGear is what I use for changing dat to mpg, and it plays good too.

    Just copy the .DAT file to your hard disk and rename to .MPG, as it already and Mpeg file.
