I am trying to decide what is the best way to capture some video. I have an ati aiw 128 pro and it can capture as mpeg or avi. I am planning on capturing hi 8 video using the s video connection. The final product will be a SVCD.
Should I capture the video as a mpeg 2 with about 5000 kbps and then reencode to 2500 kbps or should I capture using virtual dub/huffy and then covert to mpeg 2.
I am not pleased with the quality when I capture mpeg 2 at 2500 kbps.
any suggestions
