Pls help..svcd doesnt play through

Hi all, I thought I seen a post dealing with this issue but can not find it.

I had an apex ad1500 dvd player which played my svcd fine (however the power supply died only after 1 month of use).

As the retailer no longer carried the apex line, I settled for an RCA RC5240P machine which plays the svcd fine except that the last minute or so gets cut off (ie doesn't play through).

Any help is appreciated.

Just to clarify... it cuts short about 5-8 seconds..... not a minute. Pls help.

I know that this is not a big deal but it is driving me crazy and is quite frustrating.
