  1. Hi there,

I have a Dual Layer dvd recorder (stand alone), and it records fine and play back is great. But when I burn a Dual Layer DVD on my PC, it doesnt play back, on any of my dvd players (which do have DL playback).

Im using Nero Burning Rom 6. It kind of reminds me of when you forget to finalize a disc on your recorder, it wont play on other players. But this problem is weird, im sure im doing everything right (burning exactly the same as i would with a Single Layer, and changing the size of the disc on the bottom of Nero.

    Any ideas? Thanks heaps!

  4. I have had no problem using Nero 6.6 to make data disks. I had better luck = No problems burning +R DLs with imgburn when I make a standard DVD Video.

Process was capture video, author only, no conversion in TDA, with TDA 3, Burn with imgburn using imgburn to set the layer change. On the TDA3 authored it gave a wide range as they were only 6Gig or so. Playback was fine.

I did have problems with Nero and Video DVD Dls. Divx on Dls works with Nero not sure what it is doing.
