    I tried doing the same thing again after switching the res to 1280x720 60 hhz with switch res but the same thing is happening, just periodically getting that blue screen. Im not sure how well switch res is working though, maybe thats a factor

    i always keep an eye on craigslist, knew i could sell my old one and get a new one with out losing too much

    I think it may have something to do with the dual-display capabilities of the video cards..... I remember trying to get my
    laptop hooked up to my plasma tv, I got the same result you're describing, just a blank logo screen from the computer.
    Maybe if you disable the dual-display function, that would help. I would also try turning on the TV first, then booting the
    computer........
