  1. Im considering shoving my cheap £399 BUSH 32" HDTV in the bedroom and buying a larger screen for our new 'larger sitting room. Iam toying with the idea of getting a decent model for better clarity and 1080 size... perhaps 42" or larger (i dont think 1920x1080 come in smaller than 42" anyway)

Whilst Im wanting to go for a decent brand/technology... which is better...PLASMA or LCD..? and why..?

    thanx

  2. Go to a big shop where you can compare them side by side. Insist that they show you TV programs with fast motion (soccer would be perfect). All sets will have problems with it and some will be awful. Inspect this carefully and you'll see all kinds of unwanted artifacts from stuttering scans to players dilluting into block clouds. The hardest test however, may be conventional, low resolution TV transmissions.
If you still like all this, also ask them about power consumption. With UK weather it may be less bothering, but some sets can turn your living room into a sauna.
Principal technical differences: Plasma screens may be better at motion, but may be sensitive to burn-in.

    Cheers
