this is a long and confusing problem, but i'm hoping that someone else has seen this before...
i have windows XP and a hauppauge win-tv GO capture board. i installed all the latest drivers, and it worked fine capturing with virtualdub.
however, it would only work until i shut down my system. then, each time i want to use it, i have to uninstall the drivers, reboot, reinstall the drivers, reboot again, and then it still only works until i reboot or shut down.
even when it IS working, i get invalid format errors when i try to capture using some codecs, and can't even select the huffyuv codec in virtualdub OR premiere.
anybody know how to fix this?

Did you upload the latest drivers from Hauppage, yet?
Hello. -
Virtualdub will only work with VFW drivers, not supported in XP. So, you will have to install a WDM to VFW wrapper to use WinTV Go under Windows XP and Virtualdub. iuVCR will work directly with the WDM drivers, and give you full resolution on captures. (I believe the WDM to VFW wrapper is limited to x240 resolutions)
