  1. This may be a stupid queston, but can I burn a cd/dvd with divx movies on them and play it on one of the older dvd/divx dvd players? Looking for a cheap solution to play divx on my tv.

  2. I think you're confusing two formats here, the Curcuit City scheme to have coin operated dvd players and the popular video codec. I'm guessing you wanna do the latter with the former. So, no its not possible.

    Sigma designs - has a upgraded version of their excellent hardware MPEG decoder that supports some of the Divx formats
    It is called the XCard

    check it out - it may be what you are after
