Suggestions on Good Flash Encoders (free?)

Hello everyone, any suggestions on good free flash encoders out there? I want to start recording videos directly as flash files. Any advice is welcomed.

You can make mp4 with h264 and aac audio also, it works fine with flash and you can get VERY good quality. See https://forum.videohelp.com/topic355179.html

Or if you want the flv file format you can use ffmpeg(command line, good for batch scripting) or with a gui like SUPER.

Basically what I'm looking for is a free program or paid (if it's worth it) to record live video with a camera connected via s-video that can encode directly into Flash.

I currently use Windows Media Encoder to encode directly to a .wmv file, but I would like better quality/smaller video file. These video's would be streamed or downloaded online for hundreds of people to view.

Any ideas?

VLC can record directly from a camera, maybe to mp4 h264 also.

I forgot to mention that I have an Osprey-210 video capture card on the desktop.

What filetype would it be better to capture it as: flash, mp4, or h264? I need a high quality video file that is small enough to stream online that can be played with a popular, free and easily obtainable program. I currently get about 100-120MB file out of a 50-60 minutes of recording using Windows Media Encoder, but the quality is not that great.
