  1. i noticed that Nero burns an SVCD slightly differently from the other programs described in the guides. it doesn't use the .cue or .bin files that DVD2SVCD creates. instead, i drag the mpeg2 file directly into the CD folder and Nero burns the SVCD right away (btw, i don't get a .dat file like a VCD, the movie file still has a .mpg extension. is this right?). Nero also doesn't seem to like audio that hasn't been downsampled to 44.1. i get a warning prompt about the audio and have to select the "ignore and continue burning" option to proceed. i use Nero because i don't have any of the other programs. should i have them? just curious. and what's the difference with the other programs that use the .cue and .bin files to create an SVCD instead of the mpeg2 file?

  2. how ya goin mate i reading what u wrote.ill tell u what i use to do SVCD, first rip the movie with DVD2SVCD and after the movie has been done as u said, drop the file into nero and burn the movie.i use these two programs to do all my movies and have had no probs with either sound or picture,u can never tell the difference.hope this helps u out.
