  1. I try to convert divX to SVCD. I works well if I choose CBR, but if I choose one of the VBR method, sound is not syncronized with movie

My PC is a PII 400 Mhz, I use Tmpgenc 2.53 and Windows 95
I don't understand as on another machine it works well with same version of tmpgenc (it's a PIII 1Ghz, windows 2000).

I use tmpgenc SVCD template. I take the good one for each movie: NTSC for 29 fps movie, PAL for 25 fps movie and NTSCFilm for 23 fps movies.

I tried to convert Audio with virtual dub but this did not changed the problem... altought I tried to convert to 44100 Hz

    Anyone an idea ?

Firstly, make sure that when you save the wav with Virtualdub, you have audio>full processing mode selected.

Secondly, if I create an SVCD mpg and play it back with media player or Zoom it appears the sound is out of sync. However, when I create the SVCD with Nero, and play the SVCD on a standalone player, the sound is in sync. This is with an Athlon Thunderbird 1200 with 512MB RAM. The point is, you may have a sync problem, but until you burn the SVCD and try playing it on an external player, you do not know for certain.
