  2. Try using TMPGEnc and when you convert avi to mpeg, on the Video arrange Method of the Mpeg settings window (just above the pixel size boxes) - where you are using Full Screen, change this to Full Screen (keep aspect ratio), this should solve your problem.
When you have started to encode your file, you can check the output file by clicking on File and then Preview, if it doesn't look right, try another format in the "Video arrange Method", but I think the format I suggested should work just fine.

or full screen (keep aspect ratio 2) if you plan on playing it using win MP rutines as well as on standalone.

  4. I have a toshiba SD 3109 I have tried burning vcd's from computer to work on it. All I get is video no sound at all. Why?. The DVD player does read VCD's. I have used CD-rW and tmpg and eovideo and still get no sound. Does the audio have to be on a special setting for a vcd?

sned me an email if you know bnumsi@yahoo.com

  5. I encode the avi to mpg using Full Screen (keep aspect ratio) ... but the top and bottom part of the screen still get cut off when I play it ...

is there something else I can try?

and .. when I was encoding ... I use NTSC (film) instead of NTSC .. does that make a difference?

    thanks
