Photo DVD slideshow movie

Could anyone possibly recommend the software I can use to create a slideshow movie of photos from my digital camera.

Around 2 years ago, I was recommended SSMM (Slide Show Movie Maker) on this site, however, I never had a chancecreating DVD slideshow, since then, so not sure if there's better product out there. I'd like to watch it in normal DVD player, afterwards.

I wish to keep it fairly simple. All I wish to have is background music at the back (although, not exactly the whole song, but only the first minute or so, but I can cut it using Audacity, so that's not a problem). I'd ideally wish to have "random" transition/effect between each photos. Since, I've around 150 photos, if sowftware can apply random effects automatically between each photo, it'd be perfect.

May be a very basic menu showing title of slideshow movie, etc. may come handy, but I suppose, I can use Nero to do so, afterwards.

My nephew managed to do a good job of it using his Windows Vista's DVD maker. So any software similar to that would suit my needs.
