    I am getting distorted audio from converted files, the originals all play fine, nothing in my system has changed and I have reinstalled svcd2dvd but nothing fixes it

  3. What kind of distortion?
    Have you always converted to AC3?
    If you load the source file into VirtualDub, do you get a warning about "VBR" audio?

    I have always converted to ac3, never had a problem before and I dont get any vbr warnings about this file. Its not just this one video, its any file I convert at the moment.
    The distortion is like the sound is to loud, muffled and distorted with the occasional pop, i have played this back on various computers using various media players and standalone players
