What are the best settings to do this. the MTS files are from a panasonic SD9 camera an are FULL HD

I Have installed CoreAVC Pro 1.6.5
    I Have installed AC3 Filter (stereo 2:1) from K-Lite
I Have the latest version of TMPG Xpress

Please assist because the output files are a bit blocky And I think I can do this much better because the source is full HD

    Thanx in Advance

What settings are you using now? Like what resolution/frame size and video bitrate settings.

  4. Switch to "1 pass quality-based" encoding. Pick the quality (quantizer) you want. The lower the quantizer the higher the quality. Try 3 or 4.

The "insane quality" setting is a waste of time. Balanced will give 95 percent of the quality and take 1/4 the time. "Better" will give 98 percent of the quality and take 1/3 the time. Actually, in 1 pass quality based encoding the quality is the same regardless of the Encoding Mode setting. But the file size gets a little smaller as you go to higher settings. It's when using one of the bitrate modes that the quality changes by a bit.

worked great altough the quality with insane was insanely good also

Now with the panasonic SD9 you get 5.1 surround sound recordings. But my AC3 Filter is set to stereo... what AC3 setting should I use to get 5.1 surround?

    Thanx in Advance
