    Hi, I have a Ipod Classic 160GB and i can not change my TV OUT settings, it says off, and i can not turn it to on or ask, why not? i am getting frustrated please help. Thank you. :

    do you have the right cable to connect to the TV.? if it is a normal composite cable remember you just change the yellow and red pins and thats it. If you have the ipod cable then maybe your tv out feature is damage and neeeds to be check

    A Classic? Are you sure you're using the correct cable? The newest generation (current) of iPods apparently require a different cable than the old ones, from what little I've read. You could possibly also need to have the cable connected before the iPod will let you change the option, I don't know.

    It wouldn't surprise me, though, if Apple was trying to reduce/remove the TV-out options in the recent generation of iPods.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

    Found out the hard with my sons ipod.

    TV out requires a proprietary Apple cable or dock. Otherwise TV Out is disabled.
    And cable is not cheap at $49.99.
