  1. Is there a program that will convert MPEG's to AVI without making the file extremely large?

    I have been using VirtualDub and it converts MPEG to AVI but it takes a 300MB MPEG file and makes it a 19GB AVI file. Not sure why or if there is a way to stop this.

    That's because you're not choosing and setting up a codec (Video->Compression). You're getting the AVI uncompressed. So, install (if not installed already) a common codec such as XviD or DivX and use one of them, or maybe let AutoGK do the whole thing for you.
