Is there a program that will convert MPEG's to AVI without making the file extremely large?
I have been using VirtualDub and it converts MPEG to AVI but it takes a 300MB MPEG file and makes it a 19GB AVI file. Not sure why or if there is a way to stop this.

Hi-
That's because you're not choosing and setting up a codec (Video->Compression). You're getting the AVI uncompressed. So, install (if not installed already) a common codec such as XviD or DivX and use one of them, or maybe let AutoGK do the whole thing for you.I have been using VirtualDub and it converts MPEG to AVI but it takes a 300MB MPEG file and makes it a 19GB AVI file.
