    i have a new laptop and windows media player (wmp) was working fine, but now its stopped, it wont even open. I cant install another version because i am using the latest version (11.0.6000.6344) can anyone help? is there a later version? thanks

    sounds like a virus possibly...or Vista
    in the meantime, try VLC with it's own codecs
    onunload=this(!)flush;

    i do use vcl but i much prefer wmp- no viruses norton scanned. any other solutions?
