Its a huge area to cover , but to join video clips usually requires they have the same parameters when it comes to video and audio .

Super also includes this feature under the "use directshow" option , but files must be the same just in the case as for vdub .

Under directshow option is , join , add customised water mark , fadein , fadeout .

Super can also convert pal / nstc in a similar fashion as used by ulead video studio .

    ----

Depending on what clip gose first in vdub , I would use either gspot or media info to check what the parameters for codec , video scale and bitrate are , and same things for audio for clip 1 .

Then do the same thing for clip 2

Then using the parameters found in clip1 , these would be applied to clip 2 , resaved as new clip2 , then combining the two can take place .

A bit of fiddling about , but works .

You might also look at convertxtodvd ... if you want to go to dvd , but even it can choke .

If you could combine two dissimilar files, I would have my doubts that it would play properly. It's usually best to make them all the same before appending to avoid audio and video sync problems. Are these just a bunch of short files?

If it's two halves of a video that you are making into a DVD, you can just encode them separately and let the authoring program 'join' them.

Its two 700mb files im trying to join together. they go together also. but when i try to append them together with vdub it gives some error with i think is with the audio but i checked it all and it says everything is the same as the other on the size of video/audio.

    Try avidemux instead.
