3 times, same video & audio stream
no errors during run, 4 vobs produced, vobs will play, but IMGburn will not burn the files and winDVD will not play the folder
imgburn says there is no title sets in the ifo and bup files
video_ts.ifo is zero bytes, vts_01_0.ifo is only 5 k instead of 60-80k
opening with pgc edit shows nothing in there
fixvts and info edit show nothing but the menu size and the DAR
I've never seen this problem before, I thought once was a fluke (3) in a row is crazy
(2) questions, how can i take the exsiting vobs and create the needed ifo files to have a working folder i can burn,
and what is wrong with gui4dvdauthor
its doing this with both muxman and dvdauthor
the m2v came from cce via dgpulldowm, there are NO errors or flags during the run
the ifo files are useless

You (or GfDs automatic?) have set a chapter (Segment_1_scn16) behind the end of the movie.
I will include this error in the error checks (within the next GfD version) to avoid a 'false positive' authoring result.GUI for dvdauthor:
https://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/ -
what i did , was set for a chapter every 6 minutes, this is what i always do, I don't count them, normally everything runs find, and the last chapter is just a few minutes, i have never had this error before.
could this be a freak timing occurance ? i will use a different setting and try again
by the way gspot and media info and mpc all report the source as 90 minutes NOT the 84 gfd got to, it seems there should have been a 16th segment
i will play the last vob and look for problems
any quick way to make a ifo/bup menu vts set for these vobs, with another program, i tried pgc edit, but i don't know anything about editing the blank NEW set to make a correct file set
I played the last vob all the way thru, it plays perfectly, i can find no sign of error or reason for the problem that occured with gui when authoring
next i will check the m2v file
is there no program that will read the vob cells and create the video_ts ifo bup files
OR do i have to re-author again -
...all report the source as 90 minutes NOT the 84 gfd got to
Do you always have such big differences? What is shown as duration for the audio file? Can be a problem with NTSC (pulldown/drop frame) timecodes which are not very easy to deal with (and not used at all in Germany - therefore I don't have a lot of testing material...)
...OR do i have to re-author again
Yes, I think so. You can use the saved project file (if any) and just delete the last chapter.GUI for dvdauthor:
https://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/ -
I re-authored, changing the chapter duration, to 8 minutes, apparently with the 6 minute timing chapter 15 finished right at the end, maybe leaving a few cells ( i don't know ) but didn't signal end of file, and there wasn't anything to process for chapter 16
I would try your idea, but the 8 minute timing worked
