I'm a newbie to a lot of this stuff, so please bear with me.

I have this Sony DVD cam which records directly to mini DVD discs. However, all my DVD players are slot loading players, except for one DVD drive that I had to literally buy just to read the discs.

Now I would LIKE to play these on a dvd player (and the mrs' folks want a copy of the DVDs too) so I'm trying to find a way to put say 2 mini DVDs into one regular 4.7GB DVD.

The only way I could do this, keeping all the menus and chapter points seemed like to use TMPGENC DVD Authoring tool with DIVX. Unfortunately, TMPGENC seems to want to re-encode the everything all over again and keeps crashing. I think this is because its trying to create an NTSC dvd out, and the original are PAL.

Is there any OTHER way to do this..? Cant I just copy all the fines in the Video_TS folder into one DVD..?

    Or any other good proggie..?

    Please help..

You can set your project to PAL so it doesn't re-encode . . .

About the only way to keep menus and everything intact and join two discs together is DVD Remake. It will create a new top level menu that will allow you to pick disc one or two, and then go their menu from there.

DVD Shrink in Re-author mode will allow you to bring all the titles together, with chapter points, but you will loose all the menus. These could be re-created in another program though.

I would start by setting up your tmpgenc DVD author project correctly and trying again.
