  1. Hi,

Have i done the right thing.........?

I think i have made a VCD but am not sure because i don't have an actual standalone VCD player to test it on.......only my PC...

I made a simple VCD with easy cd creator......now my burned disc has several folders on it.......by reading the posts here i assume that the .dat file goes into the MPEGAV folder on the disc......?????

But using easy cd creator, it has put it into the SEGMENT folder .....is this right and will it work in a standalone player.....?

I used the wizard and chose "simple video sequence" to make it....so i don't think there will be any kind of menu navigation or stuff......if this helps...

    Thanks :P

  3. I think that the only way you can find out if you vcd works,is playing in a dvd compatible with vcd format,,,also maybe next time you want to try it something different, just copy the movie in MPeg format on a empty cd and you will be able to play in your dvd and also in your computer.

The folders you see when you load the VCD into you pc, only contains directions to the actual mpeg-files.
Those dat however cannot be red as would it be mpeg.

The Mpeg files are written at your cd in seperated tracks, which you cannot see at your pc, those tracks are accessed directly by the vcd-player or dvd-player.
