    Hello All,
    Has anyone tried this dvd authoring software :
    http://www.divxtodvd.net/dvd-creator.htm

    It's so simple to use, it was recommended to me by an online friend. I've already used it once to convert an avi movie to a dvd that I can play in my home / standalone dvd player.

    ConvertXToDVD is only $5US more and it has a known good 'track record' with our members and does the same things. I've never heard of the program you mention. In fact that site you link to is using the original name of the ConvertX software, divxtodvd, which is now a freeware program. That in itself is suspicious.

    Linking to a payware program site in your first post is common with spammers, so that type of reception is not unexpected.
