Two questions for the price of one!

I have a bunch of WMV clips on my hd and would like to convert them to a format to play on my home DVD player. I though I had found what I was looking for with Roxio Easy Media Creator 10, but it won't install on my Viata OS for some reason. I keep getting a message that the installation is interrupted. So, how can I convert WMV to DVD, and ? is there a known problem w/Easy Media Creator 10 and VIsta? Thanks. -John in San Antonio

Well, my method uses AviSynth to frameserve to my MPEG-2 encoder (TMPGEnc Plus), but I'm sure there are easier methods. I think ConvertXtoDVD will handle converting WMV to DVD-video.

Also, you can search the "Tools" section in the left menu by what conversion you want by using the drop-down menu, and find a selection of tools for that task.

WMV is a PITA to convert. I've succeded by loading the WMV in MovieMaker, and save out as DV AVI, then encode the DV AVI to mpg.
