  1. i currently got a SVCD of a movie. it has a few parts where it just freezes (on my comp with ASUS DVD). i thought about copying it to my hard drive but it freezes or says "unable to read file" in the middle or copying. i thought about fixing it right off the disk, but apparently all my "multiplex" has expired. :x some help plz. thx for looking :o

    If you cannot copy the mpg in the MPEG2 folder to your HD, it suggests the disc is goosed. One thing you might try is copying on someone else's PC.

    I had a similar problem with copying the .mpg file from an SVCD. The way I got round it was to use Isobuster (free from www.isobuster.com) and use "Extract but FILTER only M2F2 Mpeg Frames". This gets back the .mpg file as it was before being written to the SVCD (you have to remember that SVCD's are written as Mode 1 rather than Mode 2).
