  1. I'm trying to encode stuff into Ipod-compatible MP4, but neither MeGUI nor StaxRip will let me.

    MeGUI will encode iPod compatible files in both XviD and x264, you need to make sure your profiles are right and that you have downloaded and set the program paths for all applications that the core application uses. If you want something easier to use with equivalent quality try Nero Recode.

  3. What I mean is that they won't let me encode FROM avi. One gives me an error message, the other just shuts down when I try to load a file that's not a DVD-file.

    MeGUIs AviSynth Script maker or whatever it's called just freezes.

    use SUPER

    but it won't rip the DVD, you will have do that first, then super can transcode/convert the VOBs

  5. yee... any tutorials out there? avi to iPod-640 would be sweet!

    FallenAngelII, ive been using a program called XviD4PSP. it has 2 iPod profiles, but i can only get the 320 one compliant. its fast and fairly easy to use. gl!
