WinASPI porblem

I need to install the adaptec WinASPI-4.6.0(1021) to vcdeasy (becoz vcdeasy doesn't recognize my ricoh MP7200 CDR-W). The question i have is will WinASPI affect the function in nero? I found that there is one dll also named aspi (not exactly the same) in the directory of nero. Any people have both of them installed and works properly?

The ASPI driver that you will install should not affect your ability to use Nero. I currently have ForceASPI installed on my XP install and it works fine. Your biggest concern should be which version of ASPI to install, since some work better than others. There are drivers available from the following: Microsoft, Adaptec, Symbios and Advansys.


Note: Some ASPI drivers do not give an uninstall shortcut. If your using XP you might want to use the 'System Restore' tool and create a restore point. Then you can install any ASPI you want. If it does not work as desired then restore.
