what is your goal with the movies? play on any standalone dvd player? just divx/xvid player? or just computers?

tmpgenc xpress supports dvrms and can convert to many formats.

I have a similar setup. I use AutoDVRconvert that I found on this forum in the Tools List.

It converts the DVR-MS files into MPEG2. Then I use the MPEG2 files in my DVD application (Pinnacle) - Burn A DVD - Then erase the original DVR-MS and MPEG2 files if I want to.
