  1. is there any possibility for me to compress 6 gb to 4,7 the size of a dvd?

    what kind of files?

    Like video and audio files must be reconverted if you want to reduce them so much.

    What type of video files ?
    How are they currently encoded ?

    Generally, it will mean re-encoding, and if you are going to make them smaller you will most likely take a quality hit.

    Personally, DVDs are so cheap, it isn't worth killing the clip to save a few cents. Burn to two discs.

    Reconvert with a lower video and audio bitrate to shrink them(= lower video quality...).
