Hey ppl, im having a littel problem, i have 3 films which i would like to burn to a 8gb cd which i have, i have the films and now trying to make a menu for them with TSUNAMI-MPEG DVD Author PRO.

1 of the films is a normal avi format film.

The other two i ripped from a film i had with 4 films on it (i ripped two from the 4)

I deleted all the files in the folders of the two films except the actual films (vts files)

These are the files of the film for one of the films ripped.

The problem im having is importing these into DVD Author PRO to make a menu for them. Im gessing you cant import these kind of files.

When i import one of the films into DVD Author PRO it brings up a window as shown below:

Im simply clicked on Yes, and the files added fine but when i did the same thing with the other films which was ripped from the cd with 4films on it this window appeared:

So can someone please show me how i can add both films (both VTS files) in DVD Author PRO so i can burn it to a cd.

    Please Help
    Thanks
    C

P.S. So all i need is someone to show me how to fix the error in the picture above so i can add all 3 films and make menu for them and simply burn it to cd thanks.

It looks like you are trying to mix NTSC and PAL video on the same DVD - which is a "red card" infraction against the specs.

You can't mix pal(720x576) and ntsc(720x480) on same dvd if you want a compliant dvd. But you can still mix and it might work on some players, you can't use tda directly but you can use dvdpatcher to change the headers in the mpg(lots of work) or use dvd-lab pro, https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=295011&highlight=mix+pal+ntsc , but they must be separate vts / titles.

Well, the message advised to use the "DVD import function".
I think that would work better on the complete fileset. You can remove the parts you don't want after importing them.

Also avoid changing NTSC to PAL if you can, if you could play the original NTSC there's no real need to change format. Possibly you have started a project in PAL mode and it wants to make it all thus. (Strictly, all titles on a DVD should be the same format, but most players, if they can read both formats, seem to not care if they're mixed.)

DVDPatcher wont convert anyting, but you can change the resolution values from 720x480 to 720x576 to fool TDA into accepting them as PAL.
