I have had a Sony camcorder for 5 years and have made many videos on my trips. In the past each clip was in mpg format. I just returned from Japan and am trying to process my videos. For some reason, the files are in VTS format this time. I'm not sure how to use these files. When I play a file it always plays a number of clips rather than just 1 as in mpg format.

Also, I want to do editing in Pinnacle. Do the files have to be mpg for this? If yes how do I convert?
