DVD Ripper Produces Bad Audio Results

I have an interesting problem here. I've been using ImTOO dvd ripper for awhile now with no problems. Mainly ripping favorite movie scenes and that type of thing. Excellent results.

A couple weeks ago I filmed an open mic event and one of the performers asked if I could give him just his section as an mpeg. Now, the DVD looks and sounds fine, however, when I rip his section of two songs, the video looks great, but the audio is distorted and clipping. And there is no way I can fix this. No idea why this happens. Ive tried a few demos of other apps, and funny enough, same result.

Ive never had this problem with it before. It rips the movies fine. Good audio and video.

Does anyone know of any ripping apps that might be a better option for me? Thanks.

What other tools have you tried? I would use Videoredo and cut out a section to mpeg.

I've tried mainly dvd rippers. The ImToo has always worked great for me, but for some reason, in this case it doesnt. I will give VideoReDo a shot. Thanks for the tip. Looks pretty cool.
