When I burn movies or video clips onto a DVD and put it in my DVD player (which is divx cert) it doesn't load. But if it is just 1 movie it plays no probs. When there are a few items on disc it doesnt work. But if I put the same disc in my comp it works fine.
Any help would be great. Why is it not loading on my dvd player?

What dvd player?
Does it work if you burn several clips on cd?
And you are sure that all clips are supported by the divx player?

You can't compare with your computer.

What kind of files do you add? maybe it tries to read file information that isn't supported and it crashes/stops. Can't you bring up a file browser or anything?

I use AutoGK or FairUse Wizard for dvd to divx.

No idea what your talking about lol I'm fairly illiterate when it comes to computers. Any idea which is the best software (and easiest to use) to convert dvd to divx? Is there a difference between divx and avi? Is there some software where you can just click convert and it does it. With divx Pro I get alot of vob files and I have know idea how to use the thing.

I think you need to visit our guides secton to your left

I like AutoGK and I convert to XVID as I think it is better than DivX. It is pretty simple once you get the hang of it but there are also a number of guides with plenty of screenshots to show you what to click and when.
If in doubt, Google it.

Are you burning them all at once, or do you burn one today and another tomorrow ?

Most players will only read a single session - either the first or last burned.

Thanks for your replies guys. When I burn them it is done all at once as I use Divx player to to it. If there is something better pls let me no! Also, I tried Fairuse Wizard and I got a result. It shrunk the movie to 701mg but even though I had it set for divx, it did it in avi? What exactly is the difference between avi, divx, xvid etc and which is the best to convert to. And can I play any of the before mentioned formats on a divx dvd player?

Answer: Google'd

AVI = container, Audio Video Interleave
MPEG4 = compression type, typically associated with DivX, XviD which are both MPEG4 codecs

The "difference" is that AVI is a container. It's not a coder/decoder. AVI contains only information that describes how the data is included in file and how to decompress video and audio (which codec to use). MPEG4 - is a compressor. Video data can be compressed with MPEG-4. AVI can be created using any type of codec (or no codec even) for compression, CinePak, Indeo, Huffyuv, etc.

For ex.:
AVI may have MPEG-4 as Video, and MP3 as Audio.
AVI may have Cinepak as Video, and WAV PCM as Audio.
Many codecs for only one universal AVI container.

As Baldrick suggested use AutoGK , or try Super!!!!
