How to combine to MPG files

Hello ,

I use VCD gear to convert vcd's to mpg format. the intention is getting a final output in xvid compresed avi format. i needed to know if theres a software availible with which I can join the two outputs mpgs into one and then encode to xvid. Vdub can do that but it needs an avi file, and i will have to process both files seperately and then join them which will take longer.. so any ideas..???

I'm Pretty sure Vdub "Mod" Does Mpegs.
