Sorry if this has been asked before...
PIII 1Ghz, 384 Mb, nVidea 16 Mb video, WinXP, TV Wonder VE, MMC 7.1
What's the best way to capture from VHS to produce compliants VCDs ? (that's all my DVD can play other than DVDs).
a) I followed the instructions to create my custom profile and make it as compliant as possible from www.pcphotovideo.com. Therefore I would capture straight to MPG1 (VCD compliant)
b) Caputre to AVI using MMC ? What profile and/or setting ? Can you select your own compression (ie Huffy or PicVideo ?) Then TMPGENC
c) Capture via VirtualDub using PicVideo. If so any filters in particular should I try ? Can I use filters when capturing, do I apply them making a copy, or can I apply them when Frame Serving to TMPGENC ?
Any other options ?
TIA...
