Hi,
Specs:
Pinaccle PCTV Rave using their "brand new" WDM drivers - v5.01
Duron 800
Crucial 256mb DDR
ECS K7S5A
30gb wd 7200rpm hard drive, 5 gig boot partition, 25 gig capture partition
Win XP pro
Using on board sound for audio
Capturing from video 8 camcorder at 352*288 RGB 24.
Audio: tried PCM, ADPCM and MP3 in mono with similar results.
Problem:
The sound starts off in sync and gradually slides out (so the sound is behind); after 1 minute I guess it's out by about 1/4 of a second.
I get similar results whether "Lock to audio" is on or off. If it's on, then Vdub drops ~10 frames a minute in order to sync the sound, but the sound still slide out of sync gradually.
I've tried capturing from tapes on the camcorder as well as "live" (i.e. just turn the camera on and speak to it for a couple of minutes).
I plan to convert to Divx once I've captured each tape (~90 minutes each).
I've also had the same problem with IuVCR; I'd prefer to keep using virtual dub.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
JC.

Try clicking on
Video - Frame rate - change so video and audio durations match.
Also when capturing shut all other programs down.
