    Is it true that if u use a VCD adapter on your playstation eventually your playstation laser will wear out and your psx stop working?

    Think about it this way.....
    If you use your playstation only to play game CDs, it will still die eventually. But if you use your playstation to play game CDs AND VCDs then you will make it die even sooner. It's simply more wear and tear.

    My PSX is going through MAJOR wear and tear. The center piece that holds the discs has literally just fallen apart in pieces. It can barely hold a disc!

    It's all from the constant disc swapping that i've done 10,000 times. My laser is ok though. No problems with that.
