    This may sound stupid, but does anyone knonw if the the Blu-Ray Player in the PS3 upconverts dvds? Thanks

    The PS3 only supports native resolutions, it doesn't upconvert.

    Great news, effective with version 1.8 of Playstation 3 the station will upconvert your DVDs. You can select normal or double as an option. It upconverts to 720p, 1080i and 1080p.
