  1. What is it bit rate and what does increasing and decreasing it do?

    So I don't get yelled at here are me PC specs.

    1.4 Athlon
    512 Meg's of Ram
    Visiontek Xtasy Everything Video Card
    Creative Audigy Platinum Sound Card
    60 Gig 7200 RPM ATA 133 Master Hard Drive
    30 Gig 5400 RPM ATA 100 W.D. Slave Drive

    bit = unit of information.

    rate = amount of information per unit of time.

    The bitrate is usually measured using bits per second. More bits per second gives you better quality video, but the file will be larger.
