Hi all
I see there are three modes when I copy to a DVD from my TV.
What is the specs for the EQ mode?
I know what SP mode is but cannot find the specs for EQ mode.
SP mode is
720x480 (576 ? for PAL) video with a bitrate of around
5.0-5.5Mb/s, interlaced MPEG-2 with AC3 audio.
thanks in advance
Shelton.

Hi BF109,
It depends on the machine - I would guess it may differ slightly from manufacturer to manufacturer, and possibly even from model to model.
If it's not in the manual, an easy way to find out is to capture some footage - say 10 minutes - and then transfer to the PC from the DVD disc. The analyse this using GSpot - it'll tell you all the specs. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room. -
If you know how much video fits on a disc at EQ recording quality then a simple calculation can get you close to the overall bitrate (for audio plus video). But without the manual or checking with some application like G-Spot, you won't know how much of that overall bitrate is for audio versus video.

EQ, SP & cetera is just "dumbed down" names for various bitrate and resolution settings. Each manufacturer has their own idea of what acronyms to use, and what's really behind them.
