For example one file that didnt play is: Width 800 pixels /height 448 pixels

Many (most?) AVI players don't support resolutions > 720 wide.
You'll have to reencode it down in frame size.

I just played another file at native resolution of 576 x 320 and the player stretched it up/down.My dvp 640 played it fine why is that the newer model does that??

Which program should i use for reencoding??Originally Posted by mats.hogberg

Try using MPEG4Modifier to change the DAR to 16:9. That will tell the player to display it with a 16:9 aspect ratio and you won't have to reencode it. I'm pretty sure the 5960 responds to the DAR flag.Originally Posted by vinland
