I have had norton systemworks 2002 since it came out but I only use it for the one button checkup, I can get hold of a copy of Registry Mechanic and wondered is that better?

    Has anyone used Registry Mechanic?

I had nothing but problems with Norton System Works and will never use it again.

    NSW2002 is no longer updated.

I've used NSW for years now, since my Win98 days. I've only had issues a few times, and were easily corrected.

One of them has NORTON in the name, so use ANYTHING else you can find and you will be OK.

Yes, this is the better bet in a suite of this type. (I'm still using Fix-It 6.0)
Symantec is notorious for leaving hard-to-remove shards of itself in your Registry with several of its products, including Systemworks. Norton has little resemblance in recent years to the Norton that established the brand name.

I use Registry Mechanic....I've had it for a few years now. I have no complaints about it.
I had Norton System Works too and hated it. I still use Norton Antivirus but Systemworks was intrusive garbage on my old IBM computer.
