Hello.
I have about 20 video files that are ready to go onto the internet, but before i put them on the internet i want to add something just in the first like 10 seconds of the video, a little watermark down the bottom corner with my website address on it or something like that. Or even just add 10 seconds to the beginning of the movie with just a screen with my website address on. But i don't want to have to encode them all again as it would take forever. Is there a way just to add it in that won't take forever?
the video files are .avi and are sized 560x320.
thanks.

Nope. To add the watermark you will have to re-encode. If you use something like virtualdub you could cut the video at an I-frame, add the watermark to just the first (shorter) part, re-encode it, then join the two parts together again. Probably easier to just re-encode everything or skip the watermark altogether

That can easily be done by creating a short title clip with the same properties and codecs (audio and video) as the existing video files. Then just append the videos to the clip in VirtualDub, and save with Direct Stream Copy.Originally Posted by wwfc_barmy_army

I tried this, but when i click 'save as' and try and save it, it saves it like 10 times a bigger file size than it was in the first place. How can i keep the file size down?Originally Posted by TheTrueBlue

Ok, i just did that but it hasn't included the watermark. I have the screen up and it have the original on the left and the watermarked one on the right, and then i go to save as etc. What else am i meant to do to get it to include the watermark?

Make sure you are in Video -> Full Processing Mode. No filters are applied in any of the other modes.
