How do I play a ts file/format

Hey I have this great copy of the Scorpion King and I can't play it becuase it is in a ts format. How do I play this file?

what do you mean? just play it on your media player. also ts is not a file type it means either "Taped Screen" or "TeleSync". read the FAQ page on this site all of it! including how to play a movie.

A) It's not a great release. The only VCD release of it was the FTF "TS" which is actually a CAM. (See FAQ for terms). FTF has the reputation as THE worst VCD group around, HORRIBLE quality releases. So i doubt it's a great copy. (seeing as you can't currently play it, i don't know how you can call it "great" if you haven't yet seen the quality)
B) To further the bad experience, what you have is a VCD->DivX/nAVI re-encode. IT took the already horrible FTF VCD CAM and encoded it into a lower bitrate AVI to make the worst movie quaity imaginable. In my case, i would first avoid downloading such shit. but if i did for wahtever reason get it, i'd delete it instantaneously.

if you REALLY want to watch it still, try the TOOLS section of this site to get appropriate CoDecs.

One by FTF which is a cam and one by centropy and theres another by uti

You probably need the divx/navi codec to play it if it doesn't work try getting another copy

And ftf isn't so bad they are getting better

copy of Scorp stinks I have it, your better off watching it on your PC, but you will need the divx 5 codec to watch it, you can get it at divx.com.

yeah, there are 3 versions of the movie: FTF, UTI and Centropy. FTFs and UTIs were both nuked as they are CAMs mislabeled as TSs (and they both look horrible). CTP's is by far the best of them, they do a great job at VCDs, they care about quality, not speed of releasing. but the movie was horrible, but that's just one of many opinions.

and yes, FTF is about the worst VCD group, you might know them better as HBOVCD. who cares if they release it early? it's so shitty it's not watchable, it's better to get a good-great quality TS than a pre-CAM.
