    Hi Guys & Gals!

As I'm relatively new to DVD ripping etc, I'd like a straight answer to the following:......

I had trouble reading a lightly scratched DVD with "DVD Cloner 3" while doing a backup. I tried numerous DVD Copy/Backup software and then, I decided to rip the entire contents of the DVD with "DVD Decrypter" to my hard disk which worked fine.

I then used "DVD Cloner 3" to burn the DVD as normal from my ripped files, burning just the main movie.

The result was near perfect, or at least as good as using "DVD Cloner 3" to do the complete job!

My question is this..........Although I now know it's possible to do it this way, is it wise to rip DVD's in this way and burn in the way I describe? For one thing, it only takes 5 minutes to rip the disc! Or am I missing some point?

Try it for yourselves! Talk about easy!

    Thanks in advance............

I'd say the program isn't worth $39 to $60US when you can get DVDShrink for free which will do the same thing even better. The program also needed DVD Decrypter to rip and Decrypter can't handle newer encryptions. Sounds like a waste of money to me. It also sounds like another overpriced spam program.

Sorry if you are really not a spammer.
